Feel better and stay well

Deep-Tissue clinical massage & Sports massage are both highly effective in releasing muscular tension, and breaking up fibrous tissue to reduce pain, and relax the body. They use diffferent types of touch, pressure and flowing movements for maximum benefit.

Highly skilled touch and palpation is used to locate areas of stiffness, pain or tension.  Various techniques involving pressure, friction or stretching of the skin are then used to release tension, stretch and soothe muscles.  Massage is often used to alleviate stress, aid relaxation, relieve pain, and facilitate your road to recovery.

Types of Massage: Deep-Tissue & Sports Massage

Sports and Deep-Tissue massage can be an effective means of combating the muscular elements of pain and tension.  Strain, injury, stress, or repetitive activities can cause a build up of tension in the muscles. This tension can then lead to further stresses on joints, ligaments and tendons in addition to the muscles themselves.  Massage can be an effective means for releasing this muscular tension and pain, restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system and promoting health and well-being.

Muscle imbalances can develop over time, gradually building up, and finally start causing pain when yet another factor puts further demand on the body - be it sport, work or injury related.  A skilled massage therapist will be able to detect variations in the soft tissue and use a variety of appropriate techniques, such as active release, trigger point therapy and muscle energy techniques to help address the associated muscular pain and tension.

Depending on the case, patients at the clinic may receive a combination of chiropractic manipulation as well as deep-tissue massage to get them on the road to recovery!
