David Evans - BSc, MSc, LCC, DC - Doctor of Chiropractic

David Evans was first introduced to chiropractic at the age of 18, after experiencing an episode of low back pain. The excellent care and superb results of chiropractic left a lasting impression on him, so much so, that he decided to train as a chiropractor himself.

After 6 years of full-time university education, he graduated in 2004 with an MSc degree in Chiropractic from the European Institute of Health and Medical Sciences at the prestigious University of Surrey.  Amongst others, course subjects included anatomy, physiology, neurology, radiology, pathology, pharmacology and lots of hands-on work.

David is a full member of the British Chiropractic Association, and the European Chiropractic Union.  He is a Licentiate Member of the College of Chiropractors, has been awarded the Doctor of Chiropractic qualification, and is state registered with the GCC.

David is an enthusiastic sportsman, having been a competitive swimmer as a teenager.  He has a keen interest in rehabilitation and how it can improve your quality of life by getting you stronger, fitter, and better able to cope with work and everyday activities.

David has treated patients with a wide range of complaints including back pain, neck pain, etc with excellent, long-lasting results.  He knows first hand that struggling with back pain or any type of pain is not fun!  He provides a friendly, caring approach while getting you on the road to recovery.

He has worked in several clinics across the U.K. over the years, and still practices at another Clinic in Chesterfield when not in Coalville!

Archna Shah - Hons BA, MSc, LCC, DC - Doctor of Chiropractic

Archna Shah began university with an Honours Degree in Exercise, Health & Sport Science at the renowned York University in Toronto, Canada.  She was recognized on the Sessional Academic Achievement List, the Honour Roll, and Dean’s List for exceptional academic performance.

While working as a Clinical Kinesiologist in private practice she designed specific strengthening, stabilization, and functional exercise programs for each patient to achieve their goals.  This aspect has continued to remain a special interest in her career.

She sustained a bad sports injury at one point, that stopped her in her tracks.  Her GP recommended her to go see a local chiropractor in her home town in Canada.  She was so impressed with how the chiropractor correctly diagnosed the problem, the treatment, and how well she recovered from the injury & felt afterward, she decided to do a further degree in Chiropractic herself!

A further Degree in Chiropractic led to receiving a Distinction for research.  Her patient base since 2004 includes all ages & fitness levels with a variety of problems.  She chose Chiropractic after seeing first-hand it’s effectiveness in treating various musculo-skeletal problems, and the subsequent difference Chiropractic care can make to people’s lives.  She is a state registered chiropractor with the GCC and a full member of the British Chiropractic Association & European Chiropractic Union.  She is also a Licentiate member of the College of Chiropractors.

She thoroughly loves her work as a chiropractor as no two days are the same, and enjoys diagnosing and treating a vast variety of injuries & conditons, with excellent results.

Doug - Deep-Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist

Doug has over 15 years experience in the delivery of Deep-Tissue and Sports Massage.  He has worked with many high performance sports and football clubs throughout his career.  These include Hearts Football Club in Edinburgh, Leicester City Football Club, Leicester Lions Rugby Club, Manchester City Football Club and England Athletics Track and Field Team.

He has also provided massage and injury cover at various athletic championships in Portugal, Chile, Belgium, Latvia, Holland etc. in major international events.

He is committed and dedicated to providing a professional service to the clinic's patients.  He has specialised in providing solutions for pain relief for all patients, not just sporty ones!

Doug offers practical treatment solutions for pain relief and aims to help you achieve good well-being through clinical massage.

Stephanie - Deep-Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist

Stephanie has always been interested in health & fitness for as long as she can remember! She started out working as a fitness instructor while studying at Leicester Southfield College for her YMCA personal trainer award.  Following that, she studied at Loughborough College for a qualification in Sports Massage. 

She has been in practice doing Sports Massage for several years now and has developed excellent technique.  She really enjoys her work, due to the excellent results patients get following treatment.

Sara - Deep-Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist

Sara has always had an interest in sport and fitness, having previously competed for Great Britain in Judo, when she was younger.  She went to the World Championships for the blind and the German open, achieving a bronze medal.  Sara became interested in sports massage, after the treatment proved beneficial in helping to manage a long-term back problem, from a Judo injury. 

Sara graduated with a qualification in Sports Massage from the Essentials For Health School of Massage in London.  Since then, she has been treating patients with various injuries and problems, with excellent results.  We are delighted to have her as part of our health-care team at the clinic! 

Prior to working in health care, Sara's previous career was in journalism, working for a large company in London.  Since returning back home to Leicestershire, Sara lives with her Guide Dog Luna, and her cats Lola and Brian.  In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit, reading, playing the violin, flute and guitar, as well as going on long walks with Luna. 

Sara aims to help you achieve pain relief, and a sense of health and well-being through clinical deep-tissue and sports massage.

Debbie Burton - Receptionist / Clinic Assistant

Debbie has worked for many years in Customer services and Weight and lifestyle Management.  She is always happy, friendly, polite and professional, and can help with any general queries, billing and appointment scheduling that you need.

Outside of work Debbie has many interest including camping, outdoor pursuits, swimming and her family.  In her spare time, Debbie is busy preparing for her forthcoming wedding!

Michelle Rogers - Receptionist / Clinic Assistant

Michelle grew up in London, and after many years working in Banking and Customer Services, decided to move to sunny Spain.  While living in Spain, she ran a company producing an English language magazine for holiday makers.

Three years ago, Michelle returned back to the U.K., and settled in Coalville.  Michelle enjoys walking her 2 dogs, knitting, and is also busy preparing for her forthcoming wedding!

Michelle is also always happy, friendly, polite, and professional, and can help with any general queries, billing and appointment scheduling that you need.

Clare McCunnie - Receptionist / Clinic Assistant

Clare moved to Coalville three years ago from Motherwell, Scotland.  Clare is also always happy, friendly, polite, and professional, and can help with any general queries, billing and appointment scheduling that you need.

Aside from her professional interests she enjoys cooking, reading, and horse riding.  She is now a proud new mother of identical twins, and we wish her the very best while she's off on maternity leave!

Wendie Ralphs - Counsellor / Psychotherapist

Wendie qualified as a counsellor in 2002 and has helped people from diverse backgrounds with various personal problems. 

If you are going through a time of personal reflection or crisis, then counselling can be an excellent form of therapy.  When people first come to see Wendie, they are often at a point in their lives where they feel they are struggling to cope, and they come along with a variety of problems. 

Wendie is on the United Kingdom register for Counsellors / Psychotherapists (UKRCP) and adheres to the codes of ethics and practice of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.  She offers face to face counselling for individuals in a private room of the clinic.
